Tu Meri Zindagi Hai from Aashiqui / Lyricist - Sameer

 " पहली मोहब्बत का एहसास है तू

    बुझके जो बुझ ना पाई वो प्यास है तू

    तू ही मेरी पहली ख्वाहिश

    तू ही आखिरी है

    ………………

    ………….

    ……

    हर ज़ख्म दिल का तुझे दिल से दुआ दे

   खुशियाँ तुझे गम सारे मुझको खुदा दे

   तुझको भुला ना पाया मेरी बेबसी है "

Usually, say if there are 5 songs in a film, then only 1 or 2 will be a hit.

But " Aashiqui " is an exception. All the songs of this film are super duper hit with good lyrics and good music. Some lines get etched into our memory, these are such lines.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil Title song / Lyricist - Amitabh Bhattacharya

Mind Speaks - 3

" बात वफाओं की होती

   तो हम कभी न हारते

   बात नसीब की थी

  हम कुछ कर न सके "

Urdu is a beautiful language with many beautiful words. When we listen to such words we will feel we are at Peace. Let's, learn a bit of Urdu too....

वफ़ा         :- Loyalty

नसीब       :- Fate

A loose translation of this in English.....

" If it is about my Loyalty, then I wouldn't have lost.

But it was about my Fate, I was helpless. "

I don't know who wrote these lines. But, whoever wrote, hatsoff to that person :-) :-)

Postings of " Mind Speaks " reflects my current mindset.

Tamil -1

In School days all I know is that Tamilnadu means Madras and their mother tongue is Tamil. That was the only thing I know about Tamilnadu and never and never in my dreams, I thought I will be coming to Chennai to make a living.

After Studies, all my Friends shifted to Hyderabad for better oppurtunities but, I am the only guy who shifted to Chennai to learn VLSI. Ofcourse, I am not working in VLSI but in SAP that is all together a different story.

Chennai is a Metropolitan City and very well I could have managed with English but I learned Tamil only for the reason that when I look back in my Life I should have a satisfaction that "Yes I know how to speak few more languages other than my Mother Tongue".

I spend weekends mooning around the webspace, listening to advertisement Jingles, Music, watching snippets of different different movies on Youtube.

But, when I watch snippets of Rajnikanth's speech or Vijay's speech at their Movie Audio launch or Movie success meets then I feel very happy that I am able to understand their speech word to word even though I can't speak as fluently as they can. Especially, Rajni Sir's speech, I will get tears in my eyes, I will get goosebumps. It is then I feel content and happy that it is good that I learned Tamil otherwise I would have missed out what they are saying.

Rajni knows very clearly that he is not a Hero material in terms of looks but it is some magic and God's grace that he is a Super Star in the Tamil Film Industry. He is very simple and grounded.

Tamil Film Industry is the only film industry where Hero's looks doesn't matter. Example is Dhanush and Vijay Sethupathi. There is all together a different post about Dhanush that is going on in my mind since a looooong time. When I find time I will post it.

Till then enjoy Rajni Sir's speech at Vettaiyan Audio launch.

Good that I learned Tamil... :-) :-) :-)

Closing comments "Nallathu, Na Tamil Katthkute" :-) :-) :-)

Tamilnadu and Hindi

 Let's start with the basics.....

Till date there are totally 29 States and 7 Union Territories and each of them has their own native Language or Mother tongue.

If you go through the below list then you can understand that Hindi is not a Mother Tongue or Native Language of any of the States or Union Territory but just a common language.

When you learn Hindi you can converse across India without any problem. I don't understand why TN feels that somebody is thrusting their own language on them.

Hope a day will come when TN will be open to Hindi :-)

State/Union Territory Native Language

Andhra Pradesh Telugu

Arunachal Pradesh         Nissi / Dafla, Adi

Assam         Assamese, Bodo

Bihar         Maithili

Chhattisgarh        Chattisgarhi, Hindi

Goa                Konkani

Gujarat        Gujarati

Haryana        Haryanavi

Himachal Pradesh        Pahari, Hindi

Jharkhand        Sadri/Nagpuri, Khortha, Kurmali, Panchparganiya, Hindi

Karnataka        Kannada

Kerala        Malayalam

Madhya Pradesh        Bagheli, Awadhi, Hindi

Nagaland                Konyak, Ao, Sema

Odisha        Odia

Punjab        Punjabi

Rajasthan        Rajasthani, Marwari, Urdu, Hindi

Sikkim        Nepali, Sikkimese (Bhutia), Lepcha, Dzongkha, Groma,

Majhi, Majhwar, Thulung, Tibetan, Yakha, Hindi

Tamil Nadu       Tamil

Telangana       Telugu

Tripura       Bengali

Uttarakhand       Garhwali and Kumauni (both Pahari languages),

                                                      Punjabi, Nepali,Hindi

Uttar Pradesh       Awadhi, Bhojpuri, Braj Bundeli, Bagheli, Hindi

West Bengal       Bengali

Andaman and Nicobar Islands      Gujarati & Hindi in Daman & Diu,

Bhili /Bhilodi, Hindi in Dadra & Nagar Haveli

Chandigarh        Punjabi, Hindi

Delhi                                              Hindi

Jammu & Kashmir                         Kashmiri, Hindi, Dogri

Lakshadweep        Malayalam

Puducherry        Tamil

I repeat, Hindi is not a Native Language or Mother Tongue of any State or Union Territory, but just a common langauge using which we can converse with People from different different States.

Hope a day will come when TN understands this and accepts Hindi.
