Now,What the hell is this ?

Sometimes I really feel that the entire world is depriving us the right to be aggressive by referring to our nation as a Peace Loving Country.Once we are tagged with such a tag it becomes our responsibility to live up to it irrespective of what others are doing to us.I do believe that War is not the solution for everything but still really I don't understand why every neighbouring Country wants a piece of our land.

Is HCL Infosystems Commiting Suicide ?

Well,that was the very first thought I got on seeing the HCL ME Ad with French Subtitles which is totally ridiculous and made me to google which Ad agency handled this account.Here it is "DraftFCB Ulka".

Just a few days before I read an article in Economic Times regarding rebranding of HCL Infosystems and this is what we got to see.No doubt,this ad is going to kill the brand.Last but not the least, the same agency handled the HCL's 1s & 0s ad which came out nice.Better they do a revamp of the whole exercise otherwise 50cr spent on rebranding will go waste.

Are the big guns of HCL group listening ?

It is my 2nd visit to Gurgaon and the 3rd visit is already on cards.The very first thought I got on entering into this Satellite city (Gurgaon is 32 kms away from Delhi and is a part of Haryana) is that the city should be rechristened as DLFgaon as almost more than 80% of the infrastructure space here is developed by DLF.Whereever we go we will find a Sheeshmahal most of them are by DLF and a few by some other realty developers.The most surprising part of this city is whether it is a office space or a commercial space or a residential place every building is a sky scrapper with not less than 10 floors minimum.

After staying in Chennai for these many years,the very first question I asked the driver is "Yaha pe paani ka problem nahi hai kya ? ".

Almost all the news papers are available at the Guesthouse except "The Hindu".Found it very surprising that people here won't subscribe to "The Hindu" .Backhome if I compare the news content of these newspapers with "The Hindu" I found rest of the newspapers as mediocre on all fronts whether it is newsmaking or the print.Not a surprise that people here find The Hindu's English very tough to comprehend.

Well,to start with the Call taxi Operators in Chennai have to go a long way to match their counterparts in Bombay,Delhi and Hyderabad.Really,this particular service,inspite of Chennai being a Metro is too bad.I would rate MERU as the best Cab service in all the Metros.Within 10 minutes after your call you will find the Cab waiting at your doorstep.All together there are 1000 Cabs operating under MERU in Bangalore alone.I got lot of Gyaan ie how this MERU operates,how many Cabs do they have and who's money is invested in this (Aapas ki baat hi,suna hai ki Filmstar Sridevi ka paisa laga hua hai isme :-) ) by chit chatting with the driver throughout my travel.Yes,their Service is yet to come to Chennai and that is possible if and only if the Airport is atleast 40KM away from the City.And one more cab service that deserves a mention is Green Cabs from Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSIL),in Hyderabad.They ply only Maruti 800's and their service is also damn good and economical if one has to roam within the City.Hope Maruti launches this service soon in Chennai too.All in all I give 10 out of 10 to both these Cab Operators.

Lot many of us would never had heard about this town which is located 50km away from Baroda City and is home for a US based Automobile gaint.This city deserves a mention in this post due to Idly Sambaar.Gujarat and Idly Sambaar ? Sounds Weird ? Yes,but it is true that here you can get Idly Sambaar for breakfast :-).Ofcourse the Idly will be sukha sukha and Sambaar.....forget it.If you know the taste of Idly Sambaar in TN then you will feel like straight away going into the hotel's kitchen room and teaching the Chef a thing or two about how to make a delicious Idly Sambaar.Btw,even I don't know how to make Idly and sambaar but I am sure that I can judge the taste of it.To be frank I am surprised to find this dish in all the hotel's menu in Gujarat.Hotel Ginger from Tata Group is the best hotel to stay in Baroda.They say it is economical and budget hotel for frequent travellers but, I don't think so.May be from Tata's perspective it is economical :-)

Travelogue - 1

Well,it's quite a long time that I had blogged.May be I am loaded with Work or I don't have anything to write.To start with I'm into a new Project (ofcourse quite a different one) which involves a lot of travelling visiting best of the best Companies across different sectors,some are Indian and some are subsidiaries of Foreign based Companies.I love and enjoy travelling but this one comes bundled with Work Pressure.Ofcourse,as they say nothing comes for free.

Last week,I had visited a Pharamceutical Major.I get to see big big companies printing in fine print "We believe in providing equal Employment Opportunity".I don't know how far it is true because so far I had never got to see those words in action.But,here in this company I had seen those words in action.Two phsyically challenged individuals working on SAP (End User) as efficient as normal People do or I can say even better.When we get to see such instances only we realise that lot many things in our life we take it for granted.Kudos to this Company.
